Mary Catherine "Toodie" Wimberly Spikes, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, born, August 4, 1930, died on May 23, 2022 in a local health facility. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Spikes, Sr., her parents Willie and Lona Wimberly, sister Leona "Dede" Oberkirch, brothers, John Wimberly, Charles Wimberly and John Joseph "Bruz" Wimberly.
Mrs. Spikes is survived by her six children, Paul C. (Lisa) Spikes, Jr. of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Mary Ann Fletcher, Frances Crist, Patsy (Donnie) Ownby, Willie (Teresa) Spikes and Christine (Jim) Harrison all of Mobile, AL. She is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36606. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1621 Boykin Blvd., Mobile, AL 36605 on Thursday, May 26, 2022 with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, AL 36619.
