Mary “Phyllis” Harris Eddins, born in Luverne, AL on October 20, 1937 and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday, February 13, 2020. A loving mother and friend, Phyllis was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was the best dog mom to her beloved Daisy for 13 years. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. During her free time, she enjoyed taking long walks with friends. Phyllis had a devout faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church. Over the years, she had become very involved with her Sunday School class and was a steadfast prayer warrior. Phyllis was predeceased in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Willard Julius Eddins; her father, Jessie Harris; her brother, Charles Harris; her mother, Valeta Stevens, and her sister, Evelyn Davis. Phyllis is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Eddins Reeves and her husband, Ronald Lee Reeves; granddaughter, Abbegale Leigh Reeves; other relatives and friends. Her daughter, Stephanie Reeves, and family lovingly cared for her after the death of her husband. The family gives all who cared for Phyllis their upmost gratitude. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held immediately following at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Ron Reeves, Robert Bobuk, Brian Goodbody, Rich Moore, Larry Schad and Sam Haley will serve as pallbearers. Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6.

A chapel service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, 02/18/2020 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
