Melba Jewel Lowe, age 83, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2021, in Mobile, Alabama. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Melba was born on September 16, 1937 in Bolinger, Alabama to parents, Ervin Williams and Wilma Williams. She was a member of the Mobile Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Melba was a woman of strong Christian faith. She was a sweet and loving Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her Husband Doug Lowe, Mother Wilma Waterall, Father Ervin Williams, Stepmother Annie B Williams, Sister Betty Williams, Brother Eddie Williams, and Son Kenny Lowe. Survivors include Sister Jewel Ficner (Bill), Sister Patricia Williams, Son Mike Lowe (Carolyn), Daughter Valerie Roberts, Son Tim Lowe (Kim), Daughter Melodie Merancio (Luis); Grandchildren Misty Brennan (Bill), Shawn Lowe (Janell) Amber Clark (Ryan), Heather Griffin (Jason), Evan Lowe (Kelly), Chad Lowe, Devon Merancio, Danielle Merancio; Great-grandchildren Elizabeth Brennan, Avery Brennan, Ben Brennan, Molly Griffin, Lucy Griffin, June Griffin, Piper Griffin, Stella Clark; and many of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Andre McWhorter officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
