Michael E. Colson Sr., 79, of Mobile, AL, went to be with his Lord on December 26, 2022. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Leslie Colson, his parents, Joseph and Theresa Colson, and his brother, Joe Colson. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Barbara Keen Colson; four sons, David (Beth) Edwards, Danny (Laura) Edwards, Nickey (Mary) Colson, and Michael (Heather) Colson Jr. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Brad (Christi) Dixon, Ashley (Troy) McBride, Eric Colson, Matthew (Lilliana) Colson, Hannah Colson, and Jennie Colson, two great grandchildren,(Julia and Morgan), one brother, Albert, two sisters Carol and Rita, and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was a long-time member of Calvary Assembly of God and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved the Great Smoky Mountains and a good cup of coffee. The family wishes to express gratitude to Stone County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their loving care. Funeral Services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 3rd from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
