Mildred Dale Pipkin, age 82, of Semmes, Alabama, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.
Dale was born in Meridian, Mississippi to James Edward Lee, Jr. and Mildred Christine Higgins Lee. She was co-owner of her family's business, Pipkin Electric, and was the bookkeeper for many years. Dale had a great love for her family, which was evident through her interest in genealogy. She was an avid genealogist making thousands of family tree connections. Dale would get so excited when she found someone new in her family lineage and would talk about them with you for hours! She used to love to go bowling and won many trophies over the years!
Dale was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Pipkin; daughter, Toni Michelle Pipkin Johnson; and parents, James Edward Lee, Jr. and Mildred Christine Higgins Lee.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim L. Pipkin Gwin, and husband, Paul; grandchildren, John David Blum, and wife, April, Kyle C. Pipkin, and Darren P. Gwin; and great-grandchildren, Cody Pike and Jazzmun Pike.
The family would like to acknowledge two of Dale’s closest friends, Carolyn Waters and Jewel Simms, for the devoted friendship they shared with her. You will never know how much your love and time meant to Dale.
