Miriam Elizabeth Trawick Pittman 1932-2022 Miriam Elizabeth Trawick Pittman died on October 8, 2022 in Port Angeles, Washington. She was 90 years old. Miriam was born on January 28, 1932 to David Alexander Trawick and Mattie Velma Chance Trawick. In 1953, she married Harvey Ernest Pittman. While Harvey was in the Air Force, they traveled quite a bit, and had two tours in Germany which the whole family enjoyed. Miriam, who proudly told everyone that she "had been a Methodist (United Methodist) since (she) was three weeks old," was very active in the PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel) in Europe. When stateside, she was in the UMW (United Methodist Women). After Harvey's retirement from the Air Force, they settled in her hometown of Mobile. They built a home on Longleaf Drive in which she lived for 49 years. While there, Miriam was an active member of Kingswood UMC on Perin Road. She also became the Registrar for The Blue Lake Ashram for many years. She was also blessed with the Emmaus Walk. She was quite the Bible Scholar, and Prayer Warrior, Choir Soprano, and helped many grow in their Christian walk. Miriam was preceded in death by her parents, David (Alec) and Mattie Velma Trawick; her brother Hugh O'Brian Trawick; her sister, Rebecca Dianne Trawick (Ronald) Adams; her husband, Harvey Ernest Pittman; her sons, Charles Ernest Pittman, and David Mitchell Pittman. She was survived be her sisters, Judith Ann Trawick (Richard) Crowther, and Rosemary Alexis (Charles) Johannessmann; daughter, Karen Elizabeth Pittman (Frank) Jahns; her Grandchildren, Lesli Ryan Pittman (Zane) Bridges, 44; William Frederick Jahns, 31; Michael Charles Jahns, 29, and Mary Elizabeth Jahns, 28 and, her partner, Mel Laskey, 27; her Great grandchildren, Brent Roberts, 24; Lauren Bridges, 14; Ryan Bridges, 12; Jacob Bridges, 12; and Savannah Rose, 6; Titus Bridges, 5; and, as of September 22, 2022, her first Great great grandchild, Freya Eloise Roberts, 2 weeks; as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Miriam lived a long and full life, and was a blessing to all who knew her. She is reunited with her friends and loved ones who have gone on ahead; and is enjoying her heavenly reward.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, 19 October 2022, at 5-7 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 20 October 2022 at 10 AM at Mobile Memorial Chapel. Internment will follow.
