1925-2020
Mollie Reinhold Biggs, age 95, born August 7, 1925, died peacefully on August 29, 2020, surrounded by family members who loved her dearly. She was a retired nurse who loved people and touched many lives. She was a faithful member of Chickasaw First Baptist Church for many years where her passion was teaching in the children’s ministry. Mollie was a happy, selfless person, and to know her was to love her. She was everyone’s friend. She is survived by one sister Charlene Reinhold Robinson (Robby), a daughter, Barbara Johnson (Frisco), and two sons, Larry Biggs and Steve Biggs (Janet). She left seven grandchildren to cherish sweet memories of their Mamaw: Andrew Biggs (Adaina), Terry Elmore (Nita), Clint Howard (Michelle), Mollie Thomas (Jason), Cheryl Payton (Montrez), Shalon Borden (Wayne), and Brandon Biggs (Myleia), fifteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff at Palm Gardens Health and Rehabilitation, where she was a resident for seven years, and Comfort Care Hospice for their loving care. Mollie is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence Biggs, her parents, Charles Reinhold and Mollie Bourg Reinhold, and her step-mother Magalean Wilson Reinhold; two brothers, Charles and Jack Reinhold, and a sister, Jane Lambert. A graveside service for Mollie will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, Alabama 36695 followed by interment. Rev. Gary Middleton will officiate. Pallbearers include Andrew Biggs, Terry Elmore, Brandon Biggs, Clint Howard, Montrez Payton, Jason Thomas, Miles Thomas, and Jules Thomas.
