Morrison Cleo Barnett, age 95, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Morrison was born April 4, 1927, in Monticello, AR to the late Howard and Ruby Pauline Barnett. Morrison lived in Mobile, AL for many years and served as a deacon and in other positions at Moffett Road Baptist Church. He later attended First Baptist Church of Powder Springs when he moved to Georgia and continued to serve the Lord faithfully there. Morrison served in the military for 24 years and was a World War II veteran. He was proud of his service in the the military and how much he had accomplished throughout his career. Morrison loved fishing, hunting, vegetable gardening, carpentry, playing cards, and participating in and watching various sports. He always kept himself busy and continued to work in contracting when he retired. Morrison spent his 80th birthday in Normandy, France visiting the World War II cemetery, and he enjoyed traveling throughout the rest of his life. Morrison loved his family, always shrived to set a positive example for the family and was passionate about maintaining close contact with both immediate and extended family. He always wanted to spend time with his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports and musical instruments. Morrison was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be missed by all that knew him. Morrison is survived by his son Dennis Barnett (Linda); his daughter Karen Davis (Alan); his grandchildren Whitney Mulholland, Jordan Davis (Annaleise), Joel Davis (Bellamy), Alicia Reno (Adam) and Elijah Barnett (Karen), 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Morrison is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Barnett; his brothers Junior Barnett; JB Barnett; Leonard Barnett; Morris Barnett; and Eugene Barnett; his sisters Estelle Lasiter; Doris Hare; Linnie Pridgen and Betty Jo Barnett. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the mission offering at First Baptist Church of Powder Springs.

A visitation for Morrison will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Powder Springs, 4330 North Avenue, Powder Springs, GA 30127. The service will occur after the visitation on Monday, July 25, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Powder Springs. A second visitation will occur Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36606. Following the visitation a service will occur Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36606. A burial will occur Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619.
