Mr. Henley Edwin “Eddie” Johnston a native of Birmingham, Al and a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died on Sunday August 13, 2023 at his residence. Eddie was a graduate of W.P. Davidson High School, and attended the University of Alabama. He went on to attend the University of South Alabama where he was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. He was a veteran of the U S Air Force and was a member of the American Legion and an active member of a local mystic society. He retired as a supervisor from AT&T. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lois Johnston. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Faye C. Johnston, his daughter Jennifer Johnston Lambert (Brian), son Henry Franklin Johnston Sr. (Gracie), three grandchildren Kayla Meagan Stovall, Henry Franklin Johnston Jr., and Dorothy Diane Johnston, three great grandchildren Naomi- Love Lee Howell, Bryson Taylor Howell, and Jacson Avery Cayde Stovall.

Funeral Services will be held at New Hope United Methodist Church on Thursday August 17, 2023 at 12 Noon. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:30 AM until 12 Noon. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
