Mr. John Michael Cookston - Mobile Memorial Gardens

John Michael Cookston, known as "Mike", was born in Mississippi on December 10, 1958, to John and Gene Cookston. Mike went home to be with his Heavenly Father on January 24, 2024. Mike will always be remembered as the remarkable man, and the pillar of strength he was. There was truly nothing he couldn't do. He was our super hero. The rock of our family. He was a treasure of a man. He gave us his time, love and care. He loved his family endlessly, along with working in his garden, hunting and fishing. We will always imagine hearing him say, "You'll have that as you go through life", one more time. We couldn't have asked for a better father, grandfather, husband and friend, and will miss Mike every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Cookston; two daughters, Cristin Brooke Wilkes (Steve) and Madison Eleanor Cookston; three grandsons, Easton John Michael Wilkes, Beckett Alexander Wilkes and Harmon David Wilkes.
