Sarah Jane McLellan Smith, age 79, of Cumming, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 1, 2024. She was born on April 29, 1944, in El Campo, Texas, to the late Charles S. McLellan and Martha Golden McLellan Matthews. Sarah was the beloved wife of Richard Smith and devoted mother to Terri Kelly (Mike) and Tammi Marshall (Clark).
Sarah will be remembered as a loving, kindhearted peacemaker, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and a shining example of a true Christ follower. Sarah cherished her role as the secretary to the pastor at First Baptist Tillman’s Corner for over thirty years.
In addition to her husband and daughters, Sarah is survived by her grandchildren Drew Kelly (Katie), Taylor Marshall (Katelyn), Heather Marshall Dunn (Josh), Brandon Kelly (Jillian), Chandler Marshall, and Courtney Kelly Ralston (Teddy), as well as her great-grandchildren Kyro Ralston and Nolan Dunn. She is also survived by her brother, Bob McLellan, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, stepfather, Bill J. Matthews, sisters Jennie Sue Motheral and Harriet Lee Davidson.
Sarah's love for her family, gardening, animals, and cruise vacations brought joy and happiness to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation and Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Cottage Hill Memorial in Mobile, AL, with visitation at 10:00 AM and the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. A Graveside Service will follow at 12:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
