A native of Mt. Vernon, AL and resident of Satsuma, AL passed peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the age of 91. Mrs. Dismukes was a member of First Baptist Church Satsuma. She was retired from Mobile County School System (Barton Academy). In her retirement she did volunteer work at Celebration Church, enjoyed going out to lunch with her friends and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Norris "Buddy" Dismukes; brother Leon McCormick and her parents. She is survived by her son, Marvin W. (Marie) Dismukes, Sr; garndson, Marvin W. (Amy) Dismukes, Jr; four great grandchildren, Blakely A. (Amelia) Dismukes, Brooklyn D. (Bryan) Lankford, Bryson A. Dismukes, Bradford A. Dismukes; sister-in-law, Sigri McCormick; special friends and neighbors. Visitation will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM followed by graveside services and interment in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to Celebration Church Saraland, AL or any charity.
