Norma Kay Donnee unexpectedly passed away on August 16, 2019. Loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, Norma Kay was born in Mobile, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold William Mikkelsen and Helen Larson Mikkelsen. A graduate of Murphy High School, she worked many years at the family business, Mikkelsen Upholstery, in bookkeeping and customer service. Norma Kay loved to laugh, cook, hug and make others happy. She was a welcoming and kind soul and was adored and enjoyed by her family and friends.
Her legacy will live on with her husband of 41 years, Robert “Bob” Donnee, and daughters Claire (Bryan) O'Donnell and Nicole (Robbie) Sommerville, as well as her grandchildren Nora and Grant Sommerville. She is also survived by her brother Wayne (Diane) Mikkelsen and sister Carolyn (H.E.) Brewton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, at 1 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 2 pm. The family suggests that any donations be made to the American Heart Association.

A chapel service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, 08/21/2019 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
