Norma Sharon Garris, age 81, passes away Thursday morning, September 8, 2022 in Mobile, Alabama. Sharon was born on May 18, 1941 to Hubbard and Lorraine Nichols in Mobile. She was a devoted wife, mother of 3, grandmother of 4 and great grandmother of 2, which were her greatest joy. She loved all children and she and her husband made her dream come true when they opened a day care in 1984. Her heart was always bigger than her pocketbook and would go without to give to others in need, especially her family. Sharon is survived by her 3 sons, Joel Garris (Cathy), Chris Garris (Kim), and Dan Garris; her siblings, Jennie Anderson (David) and Bobby Nichols (Sheila); her 4 grandchildren, Orin Garris (Jamie), Joel Garris, Hannah Garris, Annaliese Garris; her 2 great grandchildren, Odin Garris, Luke Garris and countless nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joel Garris; her sibling, Hubbard (Buddy) Nichols III. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Home Instead, Debra Houston, Rachel Johnson, and many others for their special attention and support for Sharon.
