On Wednesday, January 29, 2020, Jean McLean Boyd, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 85. Jean was born on July 28, 1934 in Mobile, AL, and was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Jackson Boyd; her parents, Jeral E. McLean, Sr. and Bertie Mae Uptagrafft McLean; and her brother, Jeral E. McLean, Jr.
Jean attended Murphy High School, then business college, and she worked at First National Bank and later for Dr. William T. Wright. Jean married Jack on December 9, 1953, and they had four daughters, Jamie Boyd McCluskey (David), Jill Boyd Meeks (Robert), Jinger Boyd Leverett (James), and Jeanne Boyd Seaman (Ray). They went on to have fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Jean was greatly loved by her family, whom she cherished, including numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. She was a woman of faith and a longtime member of Port City Church of Christ. Jean enjoyed traveling and playing tennis, and she loved spending time at Dauphin Island.
A funeral service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agape, 3800 Vaughn Drive, Montgomery, AL 36106 or Port City Angels, 2901 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, AL 36695 in her memory.

A chapel service will be held at 2pm on Monday, 02/03/2020 from Mobile Memorial Garden Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
