Norman Lee Ryland, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Born on February 13, 1937, in Cordova, AL, Norman worked for the Alabama State Highway Department for 41 years. He served his country in the US Air Force. Norman enjoyed fishing, football, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Bay City Freewill Baptist Church. Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Loreen Ryland and brother, Kenneth. He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia, sons Earl (Kim), Doug (Theresa), James (Deanna), 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and brother, Charles. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 26, 2021, at 2pm from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
