Pansy Mae Tanner, 79, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on March 5th 2019, after a long battle with Spinal Cerebellar Atrophy.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, on March 8th, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Reverend Mark Griffin of First Baptist Tillman’s Corner will be officiating. Visitation will be held from noon to 2:00pm, on March 8th. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pansy was born in Water Valley, Mississippi on February 20th, 1940.
Pansy was married to Joe Tanner on June 14th 1957. They were married for 61 years. He faithfully cared for her for over 30 years during her long battle with her debilitating disease.
She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, word search puzzles and playing piano in her younger years.
Pansy is preceded in death by her father James Walker and mother Mildred Walker.
Pansy is survived by her husband Joe Tanner, daughters Cheri James (Jody), Cindy May, Dana Barrett (Jimmy), her son Jason Tanner, sisters Patsy Osborne and Shirley Norris, and grandchildren Leslie Andrews, Joshua Seabrook (Tamara), Erin Seabrook, Zackary May (Elise), Joseph Seabrook (Amanda), Heath May (Brandi), Amber Nicolaidis (Nick), Summer Barrett, James Barrett, 16 great grandchildren and other friends and family.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, 3/08/19 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
