Paul Parnell - Mobile Memorial Gardens

Paul David Parnell, age 80, of Mobile, AL passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019, following a brief illness.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 11 am followed by funeral services at noon in the Chapel with Rev.George Riek of Orchard Baptist Church officiating. Burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Paul was born in Plateau, AL to James V. Parnell and Mary Lucille (Holston) Parnell on January 17, 1939. Paul had two younger brothers, Bennie Ray Parnell and James Stephen Parnell. He worked as an Electrical Maintenance Superintendent for International Paper Company for 39 years. He was a lifelong member of Orchard Baptist Church where he was active on many church committees. Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Myrtle Elizabeth “Beth” (Baker) Parnell; his son, David E. Parnell and Daughter in law Vikki (Downey) Parnell; his daughter Kimberly Parnell Naber and Son in law William John Naber; grandson Jonathan E. Parnell and wife Heather (Stahl) Parnell, granddaughter Elise M. (Naber) Allen and husband Andrew J. Allen, grandson Christopher W. Naber and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
