Paula Virginia Wickline (Rodgers) passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday morning, March 2nd, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, "Nanny", and friend whose spirit and deep love for her family touched everyone blessed to know her.
Paula was preceded in death by; her parents, Kenner E. Rodgers and Peggy A. Courtney (Rodgers); as well as her brother, Michael E. Rodgers; and brother-in-law Cleve Lewis.
She leaves behind those who will cherish her memory; her devoted husband of 36 years, Jeff L. Wickline; and her daughter, Jessica Wickline Wilson (Tyler). Paula is also survived by her siblings; Kenner E. Rodgers Jr. (Pam), Patty Lewis (Cleve), Pam Gladem, and Chris Rodgers.
Paula and Jeff were blessed with two grandchildren who were the absolute joy of her life: Scarlett Wilson and Lucas Wilson. Known lovingly as 'Nanny,' Paula found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, and her face always lit up in their presence.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she adored. Paula loved being in the middle of all the 'kids,' finding joy in their laughter, fun, and energy. Her love for family was steadfast, and each of them knew how deeply she cared.
Paula was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a blessing to her family-always supportive, always loving, always present in the ways that mattered most. Even as her health began to decline several years ago, her devotion to her family never wavered. She also always had space for her cats and dog over the years. She loved and took great care of her pets.
A special thanks is given to Jeff, her devoted husband, who lovingly cared for her throughout her health decline. Deep gratitude is also extended to the team at Gentiva and Chaplain Greg Johnson, whose compassionate care over the last few months brought comfort to Paula and her family.
Though her earthly journey has ended, Paula's legacy of love, devotion, will to survive and strength lives on in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be deeply missed.
