Rebecca McCurley Dismukes - born September 7, 1945, in Atmore, Alabama died March 15, 2020, at her home in Farragut, Tennessee. Becky was a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama and was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ed Dismukes; her parents, Braxton and Jonnie McCurley; one brother, Bill McCurley; and one sister, Rachel McCurley. She is survived by her two children, Edward Dismukes (Leigh Ann) of Mobile, Alabama and Cathy Gurley (Mark) of Farragut, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Susan and Andrew Dismukes along with Matthew, Michael, Rebecca and John Mark Gurley; her brother, David McCurley along with her sisters, Janine Jones, Deborah Wilson and Ramona Schulenberg. Pallbearers will be her grandsons along with her nephew, Clayton Wilson. There is no visitation due to the current Covid-19 health crisis. A graveside service will be held Monday, March 23, 2020, at 10 a.m. in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute, Office of Development, 650 Clinic Drive, Mobile, Alabama 36688.
