Robert Earl “Robbie” Blackman, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the age of 63. He was a 1982 graduate of Gulf Coast Academy. Robbie was the recipient of a kidney donated by his mother in 1973 and a kidney donated by his father in 1987. He loved the Lord and his church; was an avid Alabama football fan and lived an amazing life full of God’s blessings and the support of many faithful friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James Elton Blackman, Sr. His survivors include his mother, Bernice Agnes Martin Blackman; his brothers, James Elton (Lisa) Blackman, Jr. and Richard Marvin (Nancy) Blackman; 4 nieces; 5 nephews; 6 great-nieces; 6 great-nephews; other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Ascension Funeral Home.
