Robert (Bobby) Perkins Jr., 85, was born June 3, 1938 in Mobile, Alabama to Etta Mae Skoglund Perkins and Robert William Perkins. He passed away on April 25, 2024. Bobby was known to his loved ones as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be deeply missed.
Bobby served in the Army and Air Force Reserves. He was well known in the downtown area as the owner of Griffice Printing Company from 1965-2019. His hard work and commitment made a lasting impression on the people in which he came into contact.
Outside of work he loved playing softball and coaching. Bobby was inducted into the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame. Bobby was an avid bowler and traveled most of the southeast region bowling in tournaments. He coached baseball at Highpoint and Chickasaw Ball Park for many years. He found joy in watching his children, grandchildren and great grandson playing baseball and bowling.
Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his parents; Etta Mae Perkins and Robert William Perkins; sisters, Sadie Green and Joyce (Leon) Cannon; and son, Dennis Ray Perkins.
Left to cherish him memory are his loving wife of almost 64 years, Evelyn Craig Perkins; sons, Louis Scott (Stephanie) Perkins, and Terry Lee (Jamie) Perkins; Grandchildren, Samantha Mae Perkins, Cody Lee (Alicia) Perkins, Chadley Deven (Dakota) Perkins, Louis Shayne Perkins, Aaron Hughes, Emma Ray Perkins, and Savannah Grace Moye; great-grandchildren, Aimie Marie Perkins, Caiden Lee Perkins, Eleanor Mae Perkins; brothers, James (Pat) Perkins, Clarence (Sandy) Perkins, Charles (Sally) Perkins. A host of cherished nieces and nephews and close friends.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 29, 2024, in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. All guests attending the service should gather in the parking area between the funeral home and cemetery by 9:45 a.m. to join the funeral procession.
