Rodney Phillip Boshell - Mobile Memorial Gardens

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a true Alabama legend, Rodney Phillip Boshell, who left us on September 17, 2025, at the age of 71 in Mobile, Alabama. Phillip was born on June 16, 1954, in Mobile, the beloved only child of Calvin and Rosalie Boshell. He attended Lyman Ward Military Academy, later continuing his education at Auburn University. Following in his father’s footsteps, Phillip became one of Mobile’s finest machinists, known for his skill, dedication, and work ethic. A passionate football fan, Phillip never missed an Alabama game and wore his Crimson Tide pride with honor. He was also a proud member of the Pentalpha Masonic Lodge, where he formed lifelong friendships and served his community. Phillip is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Boshell of Mobile, AL; his children, Ambra Gregson, Camerin Steen, Jade Byrd, Caitlyn Reid, and Phillip Boshell II; his stepdaughter, Michele Waldrop, from his first marriage to Debrah Long; and his cherished grandchildren: Kaitlin Knowles, Tyler Boshell, Kara Baldwin, and Carter Boshell. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Micheal Boshell, and his parents, Calvin and Rosalie Boshell. Phillip will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of loyalty, hard work, and love for his family and Alabama football will live on in all who knew and loved him.
