Roger W. Thrasher, age 78, raised in Barrington, Illinois and a longtime resident of Mobile, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was a retired Navy Veteran and after serving our country for 24 years, went on to work at Ingalls Shipyard until retiring to spend his days with his wife. He was a loving and faithful husband, father, and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Paul Thrasher of Theodore, AL; parents, Rev. Clyde Thomas and Mrs. Mildred Elaine Thrasher of Grand Bay, AL; sisters, Beverly Whittington of Grand Bay, AL and Pamela Tillman of Theodore, AL; and brother, Rodney Dean Thrasher of Lake of Ozarks, MO.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Holloway Thrasher of Theodore, AL; sisters, Judie (Bill) Moser of the country of Panama and Mary Ruth Thrasher of Texas; brother, Richard Thrasher of Minnesota; other relatives, and friends.

Services for Mr. Thrasher will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 with a visitation from 9:00-10:00 AM at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM in the chapel. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
