Ronald Arthur Wisner was much better known as Ron, Ronnie, Paw paw, and Harley. He was a doting husband, loving father, wonderful brother, loyal friend, and playful grandfather.
Ron’s favorite place to be was on the back of his Harley with his wife Mary hanging on for the ride. They traveled frequently, and often by motorcycle. He loved to explore new places, and was always looking for a new and unique destination to visit. He loved to be outside in general, whether on bike, shooting clays with friends, or tinkering in his eclectic shop. He was always in pursuit of some kind of ambitious and special project. He loved antiquing, refinishing, and restoring vintage items; and their home was a beautiful collection of those efforts.
Ron grew up in Jacksonville, FL where he graduated from Edward H. White High School. Following graduation he pursued a drafting degree from Atlanta Technical Institute, before moving to Mobile, AL. He served Mobile Gas for 27 years mostly as a Geographical Information Systems Manager. He also enjoyed mapping oil and gas lines with friends, as a subsidiary. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Frances Wisner; and father, Arthur Lawrence Wisner.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Wisner of Mobile, AL; his daughter Melanie (Patrick) Fuller of Mobile, AL; two stepchildren Matthew (MaryAnn) Dillon of Petal, MS, and April Vise of Columbia, MS; nine grandchildren, Reagan, Riplee, and Radley Fuller of Mobile, AL; Nathan, Peyton, and Anna Kathryn Dillon of Petal, MS; and Logan Dillon, and Haley, and Maddy White of Columbia, MS; two sisters, Cindy Wisner, Patti Smith; brother, Rick Wisner; and a host of nieces and nephews.
