Ross Owen Naze, born 07/24/1933 in Montpelier North Dakota, passed away in his sleep at his home in Chickasaw, Alabama on 11/18/2024. He was 91 years old. Ross was a long-time resident of Chickasaw, former City Council Member and one time Citizen Of The Year Award winner. He was always trying to improve his community and city. He was a United States Air Force and Korean war veteran. He also spent over twenty years in the insurance business before retiring from Prudential. He enjoyed spending time with his family and following the Atlanta Braves.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Ingram Naze, son Darren Raymond Naze, father Raymond S. Naze and mother Emma Syverson Naze.
Those left to cherish his memory include: son Dana Naze of Chatom, AL, daughter Deanna (Michael) Myers of Mobile AL, 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at the Chickasaw Methodist Church at 108 Lee Street in Chickasaw AL on Monday, December 09, 2024. Visitation will be at 10AM, memorial service will be at 11AM. Inurnment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2PM.
