On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Samuel Kent Bailey, loving husband and father of two daughters, gained his heavenly reward at the age of 33. Kent was born October 2, 1987, in Mobile, Alabama, to Terri and Terry Bailey. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Alabama, worked for Hargrove, EPC for five years, and was currently employed at Jedson Engineering as a project manager.
Kent was preceded in death by his mother Terri Whitworth Bailey. He is survived by his wife Halley, and two daughters, Bryar Rose and Eliza Jane. Also survived by his father, Terry Bailey, Grandmothers, Yola Spence Bailey and Barbara Stiles Whitworth, Aunt Jerre Bailey Simmons (Billy), Aunt Sherri Whitworth Riddle (Gerry). Also loved by Elisa and Gareth Bryars (Mother-in-law and Father-in-law), Ansley and Beau Bryars (Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law), Aubrey Kate Bryars (Niece), and many other relatives and friends.
Kent loved life. He loved God, his beautiful wife, Halley, and his precious princesses, Bryar Rose and Eliza Jane. He loved his parents [Terry (Beetle) and Terri Bailey], grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and his life-long friends. He loved his Ole Miss teams, his cheer families, and his Church family. He was known and loved throughout our region and beyond. He was a coach who was whole-heartedly committed to his “kids” and kept up with their lives and families as they moved on, always hoping for their success in life. He was a fun-loving man and definitely lived his life to the fullest. He grew up enjoying the outdoors, and most summer weekends he enjoyed sharing his love of the water and his boat with family and friends. He was a gentle giant with a kind heart and a huge, infectious laugh.
He is loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Until we meet again…
