Sharon Rose (Igou) Sutter passed away at home on January 19, 2022 at the age of 62. Born at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah, raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and residing for her adult life in Mobile, Alabama, Sharon enjoyed living on the Gulf Coast and considered the beach her sanctuary whether in Padre Island, Texas or Orange Beach, Alabama. Before and after earning a degree in Computer Science from Southeast College of Technology, she held a variety of jobs as well as spending a large portion of her working years as a stay-at-home mom; her volunteer work serving on the Junior Board of The Crittenton Home supporting young, single mothers was particularly meaningful to her. Sharon’s family and friends especially cherish memories in her warm, welcoming, and always masterfully decorated home, where she shared home-cooked meals and created magical holiday celebrations.
Remembered as vibrant, funny, and fun, Sharon had a natural passion for living that was reflected in her eclectic interests that ranged from science fiction to tea parties with her daughter. Throughout her life, taking care of her dogs was something that brought her immense joy and love. She was a natural born nurturer. Her greatest joy in life was raising her daughter, Ashley. They shared a most special bond with so much in common as well as an infinite amount of love for one another.
She is predeceased by her father, Wayne Leroy Igou, and her baby daughter, Amanda Catherine Sutter. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Merey Igou; her brother, David Allen Igou; her daughter, Ashley Rose Robertson (Philip) Robertson; and two grandsons, Philip Edward III and Nicholas Alexander.
