Shawn Gregory Nelson, Age: 56 A native and lifelong resident of: Mobile, Alabama, died July 16, 2025 in Mobile, Alabama. Shawn is survived by his Spouse of 35 years, Natalie Cartee Nelson; children, Ashton Nelson May (Matthew) of Mobile, Alabama and Gregory Lane Nelson (Jessica Jones) of Mobile, Alabama; grandchildren, Victoria Anne May, Paisley Michelle May, Mattelyn Waters May, and Thatcher Hayes May; Parents/Grandparents, The late Walter Nelson, III and Mrs. Patricia Carpenter Nelson; Siblings: Walter Nelson, IV (Debbie) and Candice Nelson Lang (Chip); Nieces and Nephews: Walter Nelson, V (Mary), Chase Lang, Hannah C. Lang Breland (Luke), Cole M. Jackson, J. Malachi Jackson, Isabelle B. Jackson; Other Relatives/Special Friends: Jeff, Kristina, Danielle Blitch, and Trey Perry.
He was preceded in death by: Grandparents: Walter and Jessie Davidson Nelson, Jr., James Rupert and Clarice McDavid McSween. : Memberships/Occupation/Military Service/School: Shawn was a member of First Baptist Church of Dawes, a graduate of Baker High School, and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. His work history included salesman and manager of various local car dealerships, Finance and General Manager with Hall’s MotorSports (Mobile and Ocean Springs, MS), Manager at B&R Camper Sales, and most recently Territory Representative for the United States Postal Service.
