Shirley Ann Sudderth Adams, a native of Stafford, KS, resident of Weatherford, TX, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 in Fairhope, AL at the age of 86. Shirley never met a stranger; enjoyed cooking; was an active member of Port City Church of Christ; a Past President of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of Agape; served on the Board of Agape; and was very active in multiple charitable and benevolent organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Edward Adams, Sr.; her son, Jerry Edward Adams, Jr. and her parents, Allen Sudderth and Lillian Ardrey Sudderth. Her survivors include her children, Sarah Adams (Jim) Eggleston, Judy Adams (Randy) Dean, Jack Allen (Jan) Adams and Tami Lewis (Aaron) Brown; daughter-in-law, Angela Adams; 14 grandchildren, Courtney, Kyndal, Rusty, Tiffany, Tripp, Jeff, Jack, Kendra, Jamie, Allen, Katie, Jackson, Jansen and Caulder; 7 great-grandchildren, Alec, Christopher, Jas, Grace, Charlie, Jet and James; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to agapeforchildren.org or Port City Church of Christ.
