1933-2020
Shirley G. Allbritten - a native of Natchez, MS and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL died Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Residence of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Mrs. Allbritten was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Parish and the Sassy Stichers Sewing Club at the Mobile Senior Center. She retired as the secretary in the Guidance Office at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School after more than 30 years of service and she was employed at Mobile Greyhound Park for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Allbritten; and her parents, Sabin Joseph Guillot and Margaret Wells Guillot. She is survived by five children, James "Jimbeau" (Brenda) Allbritten, Alan Allbritten, Edgar "Eddie" (Vicky) Allbritten, John Allbritten, and Julie A. (Patrick) Wood; two sisters, Sr. Julie Ann Guillot, C.S.J. and Irma L. "Weezie" Guillot; one brither, Harry Guillot; eight grandchldren, four great-grandchildren, and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Ascension Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 17, 2020 at St. Dominic Catholic Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1655 McGill Avenue, Mobile, AL 36604. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

A church service will be held at 10am on Friday, 07/17/2020 from St. Dominic Catholic Church, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
