Stanley Fredriksen was born July 1, 1948 in Mobile, AL. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones Friday, September 4, 2020. Stan was a husband, daddy, “Papa”, “Pops” but, most of all, he was a friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Fredriksen and Louise Shamburger Fredriksen; four brothers, Chris, Johnny, Billy, and George Fredriksen; one sister, Clara Fredriksen Ewton, and his granddaughter, Suzanne Fredriksen. His survivors include his wife of 50 years, Martha Ann Adams Fredriksen; his daughter, Tammy Jernigan; two grandchildren, Summer and Zackary Jernigan; three sisters, Hilda Fredriksen Lomax, Carolyn Fredriksen (Sonny) Tilley and Mary Fredriksen (Gerard) Mesman; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Stan was a man of faith. He loved bowling, fishing, Alabama football and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Stan retired from Cockrell’s Body Shop as an Estimator. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. His smile was contagious. He never met a stranger and was kind to everyone with whom he came in contact. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 11, 2020 in Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
