Steven Alan Smith, 64, a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died peacefully at his home on January 4,2021. Steve will always be remaindered as having a gentle soul and a kind disposition. He never met a stranger and he always made time to help a friend. Mr. Smith was born September 24, 1956 in Mobile, AL to John and Carolyn Smith. He attended B. C. Rain High School in Mobile, AL. He continued his education at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), Hyde Park, New York, were is was President of the Beer and Ale Society; member of the Coffee and Tea Society, Epicures of the Wine Society; and Chairman of the Dance and Party Council. Steve also attended the University of South Alabama taking restaurant management courses; completing his education at McDonald's Hamburger University in Chicago, IL. Steve held several elective offices and was an active member of Guy T. Smith Masonic Lodge #883, Ashelstan Masonic Lodge #369, West Mobile Masonic Temple Association, Scottish Rite Temple Valley of Mobile, Order of the Eastern Star, and Adult Advisory Board for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. In 2018-2019 he served Alabama Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star as Grand Warder under Worthy Grand Matron Patsy Shirley and Worthy Grand Patron T. David Jordan. He is survived by his wife, Linda Boullion-Smith, stepson Jeffory (Angela) Boullion, stepdaughter Tracy (Marc) Tumminello, grandchildren, Kendall, Iris, and Amilia Boullion, and Bella Tumminello, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 8, 2021, at Radney Funeral Home - Dauphin Street, Visitation 11:00 -12 :00, Chapel Service at 12:00, followed by a Graveside Service at 1:00, Mobile Memorial Gardens, Tillman's Corner. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alabama Grand Chapter OES for Three Hots and A Cot which provides food and housing for homeless veterans. A chapel service will be held at 12pm on Friday, 01/08/21 at Radney Funeral Home followed by a committal service at the grave site.
