Sue Ellen Sellers Allison, was born September 23, 1949 in Sylacauga, AL. She passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the age of 71. Sue graduated from the University of Alabama in 1971 and received a Master’s Degree in education from the University of South Alabama. She worked for the University of South Alabama for over 20 years as a Program Director retiring to become a full time grandmamma. She married Charles Allison on August 21, 1971 and they just recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her husband, Charles; her son, David Thomas (Kelli) Allison; her daughter, Brantley Allison (Daniel) Caldwell; grandchildren, Memphis and Sophie Caldwell and JD and Brooklynne Gilaspy; her siblings, Fred (Nancy) Sellers, Nell (Don) Magouyrk, Lee (Cheryl) Sellers and Cathy (Jim) VanLockeren; other relatives and friends. She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and her daughter and best friend, Brantley; reading and was an avid Alabama Football fan. ROLL TIDE!! She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church and the ladies group at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mrs. Allison’s name be made to the American Cancer Society (especially colon cancer). Funeral services will be held Monday, October 5, 2020 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
