Sylvester Pugh, age 84, passed away on January 22, 2019 in Mobile, Alabama. He was born in Brewton, Alabama on October 3, 1934, to Mac O'Neal and Arnie Pugh.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mac O'Neal; mother Arnie Pugh; wife, Gail Pugh; son, Gene Pugh; five brothers: L. B. Pugh, Albert Pugh, Cecil Pugh, Austin Pugh and Lester Pugh; and sister, V. Doris Thompkins.

He is survived by his three daughters, Deborah P Weaver (Michael), Shirley Hight and Connie Jones (Wesley); three sisters: V. Mae Hicks, Vera Richardson (Tom) and Cindy Gail Anthony; seven grandchildren: Stacey Evans (Anthony), Tammy Knight Moore (Ted), Michael Weaver (Tisha), Derek Weaver (Ashley), Daniel Keen (Michelle), Joseph Keen (Nicole) and Macon Keen (Julie); 24 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was dearly loved by his family and friends. He was an auto mechanic for years, business owner of Citgo Service Station, Club Causeway, The Rocket Club, The Creek Club and retired from Kushla Club in Kushla, Alabama. He will be surely be missed everyone who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Jones, Anthony Evans, Derek Weaver, Macon Keen, Ted Moore, Chip Glenn, Michael Weaver II, and Michael Weaver III.

His funeral will be held at Kenmar Family Funeral Home, 11400 Tanner Williams Rd, Mobile, Alabama, 36608, on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 10:30 am, with a visitation from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Interment will immediately follow services at Mobile Memorial Gardens.


A chapel service will be held at 11am on Monday, 01/28/2019 from Kenmar Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
