We are sorrowful to announce that our dear mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Sylvia M. Brown passed away in Mobile, AL on January 31, 2024, at the age of 77. She was a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know her and her presence will be sorely missed.
Survivors include her loving children: Allen Morton of Meridian, MS; Teresa Stapleton (Joart) of Theodore, AL; Ken Morton (Terry) of Vancleave, MS; Alyssa Crawford (Dan) of Theodore, AL; Jennifer Deakle of Theodore, AL; and Gina Henderson-Rogers (Justin) of Jacksonville, FL, as well as Susan Johnson of Theodore, AL, forever daughter of her heart, and sisters Diane Hamm of Pelham, AL and Linda Muñoz of Houston, TX. Additionally, Sylvia leaves 16 grandchildren: Anne Marie, Tosha, AJ, Amber, Kristen, Tommy, Jessica, Angelica, Tiffany, Brittany, Tyler, Kayla, Polly, Jonas, Ethan, and Stella, in addition to 21 great-grandchildren, plus two more on the way.
Sylvia was a hard worker who retired from the Mobile DMV after many years of faithful service and was known and loved by many in the Tillman's Corner area. We are thankful that she is at peace and has joined her devoted husband, Clayton Brown, in Heaven.
