Terry Wayne Smith, 82, of Mobile, AL went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2023. Terry was born and raised in Mobile, AL and was in the class of 1960 at Murphy High School. Terry Served 2 years in the Navy upon the USS Newman K. Perry. During this time, he met the love of his life, Bonnie. They were married on May 18, 1963 and were married for 57 years. Together, they raised two children, Terri Smith Norman (Cory) of Gulf Shores, AL and Kevin Wayne Smof Mobile, AL. He was known as Grandaddy to 4 grandchildren: Chase Smith of Redding, CA; Grant Norman of Huntsville, AL; Kennedy Lyles of Orange Beach, AL and Michael Smith of Mobile, AL. Terry's career began in the food brokerage business with Shasta, then transitioned into the VP of the late 1990's. He also worked for Life Church for 20 years, where he and Bonnie attended services. Terry loved and was known for his love of grilling for his family and could always be found cheering on the University of Alabama.
Terry is preceded in death by his father (Gorman) his mother (Vera) and his wife (Bonnie). Services will be held on Monday, April 3 with visitation beginning at 11am followed by a 12pm service at Mobile Memorial Gardens with graveside service to follow.
