Arrangements: Funeral ceremony from a local church followed by the cemetery committal service.

CMSGT Tracy McManus USAF (Retired), age 78, a native of Chesterfield County, South Carolina and resident of Theodore for the past 40 years died on April 6, 2013. Chief McManus served his country during the Korean, Vietnam, and Cold Wars. He was decorated five times for meritorious service. After retiring from the USAF, he worked for IT&T as a Radar Station Manager. Later, he was employed by Degussa and retired as an Area Instrumentation Foreman. Mr. McManus was a 32nd degree Scottish Rites Mason. He has been a member of Theodore United Methodist Church for the past 40 years.
Mr. McManus is survived by his loving wife and dedicated supporter for the past 56 years: Mary Black McManus. Two sons: Matthew (Sue) McManus of Atlanta, Georgia, and James A. McManus (Tracy) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. One daughter: Laura McManus Hooper (Tim) of Mobile, Alabama. Nine wonderful grandchildren: Natalie, Madison, Dylan, and Taylor Hooper; Jessica, Nathan, and Megan McManus; and Caleb and Andrew McManus. He is survived by two brothers: Casey McManus (Mavis) of Pace, Florida and Robert McManus of Columbia, South Carolina. Two sisters: Sue Riley and Peggy Dabbs of Camden, South Carolina. Over the course of his lifetime, Mr. McManus enjoyed the company and dedicated companionship of his beloved four legged friends: Happy, Rusty, Cassie, and Buddy.
The McManus family would like to acknowledge the loving and caring staff of the emergency room as well as the staff of the 9 East and 5 West Wings at Providence Hospital for their dedication and service toward Mr. McManus during his stay. We appreciate the love and care provided by Caring Hearts Clinic at Providence as well as the doctors, nurses, and staff at Citrin, Rihner, Gupta, and Grosz Cardiology, P.C. In addition, we would like to thank our church family for their love, care, and support during our time of need. Visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens from 5-7:30 PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. The funeral will be held at the Sanctuary of Theodore United Methodist Church at 10:00 AM on April 11, 2013. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Theodore United Methodist Church, 6255 Swedetown Road, Theodore, Alabama 36582 in memory of Tracy McManus.
