Virginia Faye Estes Ryland, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Virginia, known affectionately as Ginger, was born on February 27, 1943 in Birmingham, AL. Virginia enjoyed cooking, attending service at Bay City Freewill Baptist Church, and spending time with her precious family.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Norman L Ryland, parents Roland and Christine Estes, and brother Donald Estes.
She is survived by sons Earl (Kim), Doug (Theresa), James (Deanna), 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, Sister Linda Driver, cousins, nieces, nephews and life long best friend Sandy Guy.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 11,2023 at 2:00 P.M.. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M.. to 1:45 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Denyce (daddy’s oldest) just sent me the obituary. I hate that we haven’t stayed in touch over the years. I’m Don’s youngest daughter. Last time I saw your mom was when Papa Estes was still alive. I think I was still in college. I will be praying for comfort for the family.
