Vivian Vaughn of Fairhope, Alabama went to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on July 8th, 2024 at the age of 81 years old.
Vivian was born on August 4th, 1942 in Mobile, Alabama to Robert and Docia Bolton. Vivian grew up in Mobile Alabama graduating from Murphy High School. Soon after graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Sam, and began their family. A few years later they purchased land in Fairhope, AL and built their home where they raised their two boys, along with acres of horses. Vivian retired from her position at the Baldwin County Commission, where she served as the Center Supervisor for the Council on Aging. Throughout her tenure, she prepared daily lunches for numerous visitors at the center, including those who were home-bound. Additionally, she found great joy in teaching arts and crafts classes for the Council on Aging. She was skilled in painting and enjoyed woodworking with her husband. She was also active in her church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, and was a member of the choir. She enjoyed spending time with her family, visiting the Fairhope Pier and sharing memories with her sweet dog, Bella. Vivian will always be remembered by her generous and loving spirit.
Vivian was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bolton, her beloved husband Samuel Vaughn Jr., her in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Vaughn Sr., and her nephew Daniel Vaughn. She is survived by her sons Robert (Laura) Vaughn and Randy Vaughn, grandchildren Robbie Vaughn, Allie (Nate) Barnette, Brittany Vaughn-Swartz (Nick and children), and great-grandson Blake Vaughn. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donnie and Mary Vaughn, niece Beth Vaughn, great-nephew and niece Will and Georgia Vaughn, and her unborn great-grandson Austin Barnette (Nate and Allie).

Visitation will be open to family and friends on Thursday, July 11th from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, located on Three Notch Road. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m.
