W. C. Arthur, Sr., “Uncle Sonny”, a native of Cullman, AL and resident of Irvington, AL since February, 2020, died peacefully at the home of his niece and nephew-in-law, Pete and Denise Bennett on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. He was a US Air Force veteran. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and fishing, and was an avid Alabama Football fan. He was preceded in death by his son, W. C. Arthur, Jr., two brothers, Dennis Arthur and James Douglas Arthur, Sr.; his parents, Olen Arthur and Gladys Simpson. His survivors include one daughter, Karla Hudson, of Hoover, AL; three grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 17, 2020 in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be rendered by American Legion Post 250 Honor Guard. If attending, please comply with social distancing guidelines. Facial masks are required.
