Wallace Linwood McPherson, age 89, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Wallace was born in Rumford, Maine and a long-time resident of Mobile, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Pam Curtis; son-in-law, Pat Curtis; and brother-in-law, Ted Impastato. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Gradine Lucille McPherson; daughters, Angie McPherson and Sherry Bourque; sons, Mark (Nancy) McPherson and Kevin (Sandi) McPherson; granddaughters, Cara Curtis and Breanne (Brey) Bishop; grandson, Mark Bourque, Jr.; great grandchildren, Ella and Breyson Bishop; special sister-in-law, Jackie Impastato, all other relatives, and long-time good friends, Anita and Norman Johnson. Wallace was a graduate from McGill Institute, retired from International Paper Company, was a volunteer at Providence Hospital for over 20 years, was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and Jubilee Club, member of Knights of Columbus #3565 and charter member of a Mystic Society. He loved spending time with his family and going to the beach. The McPherson family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Providence Hospital for their concerning care. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 29, 2021, at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Burma Rd in Mobile, with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. and Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name at St. Dominic Catholic Church, St. Thomas Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.

A church service will be held at 10am on Friday, 01/29/2021 at St. Dominic Catholic Church followed by a committal service at the grave site.
