Wanda Mims Long. Wanda (also known as Peanut) was born in Gideon, Missouri on October 18, 1941. She was a longtime resident of Theodore, AL, where she died at home on July 20, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents Willian and Evelyn Mims; three sisters, four brothers, her husband, Richard Werneth, her son, David Werneth and her grandson, James Long III. She is survived by her son, James (Debbie) Long, Jr.; Paul (Cynthia) Werneth and Richard (Renee) Werneth; her sister, Opal Barnes and brother, Frederick “Buddy” (Joanne) Mims; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She joined the circus in her younger years and she always loved children, so much so that she started her own daycare. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister. She was greatly loved and she will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 2pm. Visitation will start at 12 noon. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

A chapel service will be held at 2pm on Friday, 07/26/2019 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
