William Robert Ivey of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully around 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Born in Repton, Alabama to Don and Daisy Ivey, Will spent the majority of his life surrounded by friends and family in Mobile. He attended a high-school in Repton, and he married Sandra Lee in 1961 until she died in 1998 after 37 years of marriage. Will remarried Elaine Hastings in 2001 until her death in 2010. Will worked for Gulf Electric Company for over 40 years until he retired. Will loved serving in his local church as a deacon at Cypress Shores Baptist Church in Mobile, AL, and when he wasn’t serving the church, he was often out fishing with his brother, Burns Ivey, at a local lake or in Mobile Bay. Will enjoyed watching sports, and his favorite teams were the Atlanta Braves and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Will was a loving husband and father to his family, and his love for Jesus Christ and the Gospel was set on display to anyone he would meet. Will is survived by his son, W. Todd Ivey, and his daughter, Glennan Palframan, along with their spouses and children.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 9th from 8:00am to 10:00am at Cypress Shores Baptist Church, 4327 Higgins Rd., Mobile, AL 36619. The funeral service will begin at 10:00am. The burial service will be held immediately following the funeral service at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
