Willie B Myers, Sr, age 85, of Mobile, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his parents, Hulon E. Myers and Eunice T. Myers; one brother, James E. Myers; and one son, Willie B. Myers, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Retha S. Myers; two daughters, Cathy M. Harrelson (Harry Harrelson) and Vickie Webster (JW Webster); three sons, Eddie Myers (Felicia Myers), Kenny Myers (Melissa Myers), and Josh Myers (Mandy Gilmore); and special mention to Mandy Uber. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Tait (John Tait); a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Willie retired from International Paper Company after 40 years. He volunteered for React, a search and rescue organization. He also volunteered at Mobile Infirmary Hospital and Parkway Senior Center. Fishing and singing were his main hobbies. He especially loved to sing karaoke at the Senior Center with his best friend, James May. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Rev. Chrissy Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
