Carlton Kendall Kirk passed away on March 20, 2019 at his home on Dauphin Island. He was a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, but spent over 20 years in the US Air Force, serving in Washington, DC, Okinawa, Japan, Montgomery, AL, and numerous other deployments. He and his wife, Susie, retired to Dauphin Island, AL, where they enjoyed boating, fishing, and having fun with family and friends. Carlton was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon, Elder, and Treasurer and in many other capacities. He also served on the Board of Family Promise and volunteered at a local food bank for many years. Carlton is survived by his wife, Susie; daughters, Chrissy Locke (Jordan) and Cindy Bliss (Nick); his beloved grandchildren, Kendall & Wyatt Locke and Nicholas Bliss, Jr.; many other extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

A chapel service will be held at 12pm on Monday, 03/25/2019 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
Carlton, you were my friend and I will miss you. I’m so glad we had time to spend with each other recently. Those are treasured memories. You and Tommy watch over us all.
