Jenelle Lynne McElroy, age 40, of Spanish Fort, Alabama passed away on Sunday July 28, 2019. Jenelle was born April 18, 1979 in Mobile, AL. Jenelle was full speed ahead every day. Her faith in Jesus Christ was very strong and set the tone for the love she gave to her husband, children and family. She had a knowledge and passion for teaching her nursing students and will leave a legacy of confidence and ability of how she taught the art of nursing, influencing and impacting lives. Her cheerful antics and laughter was best shared with her children, it was infectious and would have them all laughing together. Scrapbooking, lettering and embroidery were among some of the things she enjoyed. She is survived by her husband Rance M. McElroy, parents Byron E. and Kathy Sheppard, sister Jennifer (Joseph) Stevens, Jr., her children; Rance McElroy Jr., Byron Walker McElroy and Makalynne Olivia McElroy. Nieces and nephews Anna Marie Stevens, Ireland Rollo, Ryder Sibley and Joseph (Trey) Stevens III. A visitation for Jenelle will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Woodridge Baptist Church, 2700 Schillinger Rd. S., Mobile, AL 36695. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 4:00 PM, 2700 Schillinger Rd. S., Mobile, AL 36695. Entombment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama.

A cchurch service will be held at 4pm on Thursday, 08/01/2019 from Woodridge Baptist Church, followed by a committal service at the grave site.

  3. A bright light was put out too soon! God took her for the reasons he only knows. I can say that I am happy to know her and have seen what she put forth into her family and career. My heart will be selfish and wish this had not happened but, I know that she is with the Lord and her other family members celebrating beyond what our minds can comprehend. Praying for all family and close friends! May God give you the peace and strength that is beyond comprehension. My work buddy for 3 jobs in my life time. Thank You for the joy I was given and the fun I will not forget during one Black Friday shopping trip! Love Always! Shelley
