John Taylor of Mobile, Alabama left this world in a peaceful sleep on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the young age of 54. He left behind the mourning hearts of his beloved wife Angie Derwin Taylor, his beautiful daughter Victoria Bethany Mims, his protégé and namesake, Quintin John Taylor, his first grandchild, Delilah Grace Mims, his mother, his father and his sister.

This gracious, loving, powerful, fearless, intelligent, humble, and Godly man has left a void like none other. He was a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, helpful brother, caring son, loyal friend and dedicated employee.

This world has lost a great man with a smile brighter than the Northstar, but God has gained his most faithful servant.

It is hard for us to let go and our lives will forever be changed. Death leaves a heart no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. The man, the myth, the legend, My Sweet John.

John is survived by his parents, Brian and Betty Taylor, his wife, Angie Taylor his children, Bethany (Joshua) Mims, Quintin Taylor, his grandchild, Delilah Mims, sister Cindy (Scott) Maliniemi, and niece Brittany (Derrick) Riego, great niece Kylie, and three newphews Brandon Maliniemi, Zachary Maliniemi, and Jacob Maliniemi and many, many other loved ones and friends.

The family will receive visitors at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday December 16, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 AM the following day from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

A chapel service for John Andrew Taylor will be held at 10:00am on Monday, 12/17/2018 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
