Maxine Congleton, age 96, of Mobile, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 29, 2019, with family members by her side. Maxine was born September 11, 1922 in Lumberton, MS. She loved all and was loved by all, especially her family members. Maxine was best known for her kindness and willingness to help those in need. Before her illness Maxine was longtime member of St. Francis United Methodist Church and Christ United Methodist Church. She retired after 49 years of service with International Paper, Billing Department.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Congleton, brothers Joel Bullard, Frank Bullard and Clay Bullard and sister Hattie Moran. Survivors include her son Don Waltman, grandsons; Donnie Waltman, Chad (Paige) Waltman, Travis (Michaela) Waltman, five great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service for Maxine will be held Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619.
