Robin Lindsey Wullschleger Kersten, age 34, passed away in Henderson, NC on June 8, 2026. She was born in Mobile, AL on July 2, 1991, to Alan and Diana Wullschleger. Robin was a remarkable woman whose warmth, determination, and kindness touched countless lives during her 34 years. A 2009 graduate of Davidson High School, she was an accomplished athlete who excelled in taekwondo, swimming, and soccer, proudly serving as captain of her soccer team. Following high school, Robin moved to North Carolina, where she earned her nursing degree from Coastal Carolina College. Robin had a true servant's heart. She was a devoted animal lover who spent countless hours volunteering with animal rescues and shelters. She also gave generously of her time to food banks and regularly helped feed the hungry, often encouraging her coworkers and friends to join her in serving others. She loved her job as Store Manager for Food Lion and cherished the friendships she made with her coworkers. Robin was also a passionate gardener and took great pride in growing fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Her compassion, leadership, and giving spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Wanda Wullshleger and her beloved dog, Nova, and cat, Batman. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Alan and Diana Wullshleger; brothers, Richard (Arial) Wullschleger and AJ (Darcy Kelly) Wullschleger; nephews, Samuel and David Wullschleger; faithful canine companion, Ripley, and her cockatiel, Bob.; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2026, with visitation from 1:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
